Candy season is coming! With the holidays fast approaching and Halloween coming up this month, we feel it's time to talk about the best tips for your teeth!
1. When eating candy, it's best to not eat candies that are too sticky or chewey. This is a given, but some of these very sticky candies can get in spaces between teeth and cause cavities.
2. Drink water to help wash away the sugars.
3. Try not to snack on sugary snacks all day. This increases your chances of getting cavities. Have the candy, and then move onto oral hygiene when you can. If it's an acidic candy, you will want to wait a bit before brushing to not erode your enamel.
4. Sugar free gum with the ADA seal is a great alternative for candy!
5. Bring floss with you to get out the candy between your teeth.
